Echo Lynch Bages 2ème Vin De Lynch Bages Pauillac, 2022

Echo de Lynch-Bages 2022 is the second wine of the celebrated Château Lynch-Bages in Pauillac, offering a polished and approachable expression of one of Bordeaux’s most admired estates. Made in a classic Left Bank style, it captures much of the depth and structure of the grand vin, while being more accessible in its youth.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a deep ruby color with purple reflections. The nose leans toward blackcurrant, dark cherry, cedar, graphite, and subtle spice, with a refined earthy edge that reflects its Pauillac origins. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with firm but well-integrated tannins, fresh acidity, and layered notes of cassis, plum, tobacco, and fine oak. The finish is savory and persistent, with enough structure to develop gracefully over time; while enjoyable earlier than the grand vin, it should also benefit from several years of cellaring.

Production
Sourced from the vineyards of Lynch-Bages in Pauillac, the wine reflects the region’s famed gravelly soils, which promote excellent drainage and help produce concentrated, structured reds. Harvesting is typically carried out with careful selection to preserve fruit quality, followed by vinification in the traditional Bordeaux manner with temperature-controlled fermentation and aging in oak barrels to add complexity and finesse.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for roast beef, lamb, duck breast, grilled entrecôte, and mushroom-based dishes. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 1–2 hours if drinking young to allow the wine to खुल nicely and soften its tannins.
