Echo de Lynch-Bages is the second wine of the famed Château Lynch-Bages in Pauillac, offering a more approachable expression of one of Bordeaux’s most respected names. Crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, it brings classic Left Bank structure and dark-fruited charm in a style that’s elegant, polished, and immediately appealing.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, the 2021 vintage typically shows a deep ruby color with youthful brightness at the rim. The nose leans toward blackcurrant, plum, graphite, cedar, and a touch of tobacco, with the Cabernet Sauvignon bringing precision and lift. On the palate, it is medium- to full-bodied, with fine tannins, fresh acidity, and a core of black fruit balanced by savory mineral notes and subtle oak spice. The finish is refined and persistent, and while it can be enjoyed now with proper aeration, it should also develop nicely over the next several years.

Production
Sourced from vineyard parcels associated with Château Lynch-Bages in Pauillac, the wine reflects the gravelly soils and temperate maritime influence of Bordeaux’s Left Bank, which are ideal for Cabernet-led blends. The grapes are harvested by hand or with careful selection depending on parcel and vintage, then vinified with the goal of preserving freshness, fruit purity, and the firm but polished structure typical of the appellation.

This is a versatile match for roast beef, lamb, duck breast, grilled mushrooms, and hard cheeses such as Comté or aged cheddar. Serve at 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 30–60 minutes if opening young to allow the wine to fully open aromatically and soften its tannins.
