E. Pira e Figli – Chiara Boschis Barolo Cannubi 2021 is a beautifully poised expression of one of Barolo’s most historic vineyard sites. Crafted from Nebbiolo and produced in very limited quantities, it combines Cannubi’s signature finesse with the depth and structure expected from a great Barolo.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Barolo shows a refined, elegant profile with a polished sense of power beneath its delicate frame. Aromas of dark cherry, blackcurrant, rose petals, pink peppercorn and a subtle white-stone minerality rise from the bouquet, giving it both fragrance and definition. The palate is vibrant and juicy, with crisp, ripe fruit, lifted freshness and a finely textured, slightly grippy structure. There is impressive length and precision on the finish, and while it is already expressive, it has the balance and backbone to age gracefully for many years.

Made from Nebbiolo grown in the Cannubi cru in Barolo, Piedmont, this wine reflects one of the region’s most celebrated terroirs, known for producing Barolos of elegance, aromatic complexity and layered finesse. The limited production underscores the selectivity of the harvest and the estate’s focus on quality, with vinification aimed at preserving freshness, fragrance and site character.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for rich Piedmont dishes such as braised beef, veal, truffle risotto, tajarin with meat ragù, or aged hard cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 1–2 hours if drinking young to allow the wine to fully раскры its aromatic complexity and structure.
