DuMOL’s 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley is a polished, site-driven wine that brings together fruit from four different vineyards, led by Meteor Vineyard and True Dog Knoll Vineyard. A touch of Petit Verdot from DuMOL’s own Roach estate in St. Helena adds lift and balance, while 20 months in French oak give the wine its depth and refined structure. Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Cabernet shows a deep, saturated color that hints at its concentration. The nose opens with dark cherries, blueberries, cassis, cocoa, pencil shavings, and a subtle sandalwood note, giving it a layered and elegant aromatic profile. The palate is fresh yet powerful, with blackberry, milk chocolate, leather, and mocha unfolding across a smooth, balanced texture. The finish is long and composed, and the wine has the structure and fruit density to age beautifully for at least another 10 years, likely longer in a good cellar.

Production
This wine is sourced from four Napa Valley vineyards, with a particular focus on Meteor Vineyard and True Dog Knoll Vineyard, plus a portion of Petit Verdot from DuMOL’s Roach estate in St. Helena. The blend reflects Napa’s diverse terroir, combining ripe valley fruit with the freshness and structure needed for balance. After harvest, the wine was vinified and matured for 20 months in French oak barrels, half of them new, to build complexity, texture, and oak integration.

Food & Serving
Serve this Cabernet with grilled ribeye, braised short ribs, lamb chops, or richly seasoned mushroom dishes. It’s best enjoyed at around 16–18°C, and if you’re opening it now, decanting for about one hour will help the aromatics open up and soften the structure.
