Tasting Notes
In the glass, this mature Pinot Noir shows a graceful, evolved profile with a refined ruby-garnet hue. The bouquet opens with dried cherry, forest floor, truffle, and warm spice, followed by subtle mineral and earthy nuances that speak to its age and terroir. The palate is silky and composed, with rounded tannins, still-lively acidity, and a long, mineral-driven finish. Fruit is understated rather than bold, allowing savory complexity and Burgundian elegance to take center stage. At this stage, it is drinking beautifully, though it still has the poise to hold for a little longer under ideal cellaring conditions.

Production
The wine comes from the upper parcels of Charmes-Chambertin, where old Pinot Noir vines are rooted in limestone- and clay-rich soils that naturally balance concentration with finesse. Harvesting is done by hand with strict selection, followed by fermentation in small open vats and aging for around 18 months in new oak barrels. This traditional approach preserves the vineyard’s character while adding structure, depth, and subtle spice.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with dishes that echo its earthy, savory profile, such as roast duck, game birds, mushroom risotto, or veal with truffles. It is best served at around 16–18°C, and a gentle decant of 30–60 minutes can help the aromas open up, especially if the bottle has been stored for a long time.
