Ducru-Beaucaillou is situated on the Left Bank of Bordeaux in Saint-Julien, where deep gravel soils over clay and limestone encourage drainage and help Cabernet Sauvignon achieve full ripeness and finesse. The estate is known for careful parcel selection and meticulous vineyard management, with grapes typically harvested by hand and vinified with an emphasis on purity, structure, and precision. Aging in French oak barrels is central to the style, lending polish and complexity without overwhelming the fruit.

This is an excellent match for roasted lamb, beef tenderloin, duck breast, or game dishes such as venison.
