Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep, almost inky ruby color that hints at its concentration. The nose opens with layers of blackcurrant, blueberry, and ripe plum, followed by elegant notes of cocoa, dark chocolate, and warming spice. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with concentrated dark fruit, silky tannins, and a refined frame from well-integrated oak. The finish is long and persistent, leaving behind dark berries, subtle toasted oak, and a touch of spice. While already highly enjoyable now, this wine has excellent aging potential and should develop beautifully over the next 5–10 years.

Production
Sourced from some of the best vineyards in Napa Valley, this Cabernet Sauvignon reflects the region’s warm, sun-drenched terroir and the depth of fruit that makes Napa so renowned. The wine is composed primarily of Cabernet Sauvignon, with small portions of Merlot and Cabernet Franc adding softness, nuance, and finesse. It was aged for 16 months in French oak barrels, with 50% new oak, which contributes structure, complexity, and gentle spice without overpowering the fruit. The result is a wine that combines power with elegance in classic Duckhorn style.

This Cabernet Sauvignon is an ideal match for grilled or roasted beef, lamb, venison, and other rich, savory dishes. It also pairs beautifully with hard cheeses or a simple charcuterie board if you prefer a more relaxed serving occasion. Serve at 16–18°C and consider decanting for 1–2 hours to allow the wine to open fully, especially if enjoying it young.
