Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright, luminous pale gold hue. The nose opens with citrus, quince, fresh herbs, and a delicate hint of toasted almond, giving way to a more layered bouquet as it breathes. On the palate, the wine is poised and focused, with fine mineral drive and flavours of pear, dried apricot, and a gentle brioche note from oak aging. The finish is long, elegant, and persistent, combining freshness with notable depth. While it is delicious now for its clarity and tension, it also has the structure to develop additional complexity over the next few years.

Production
The grapes come from the single vineyard Les Houillères in Puligny-Montrachet, a classic Chardonnay site known for its chalky, limestone-based soils and ideal exposure. In 2021, spring frost reduced yields, but the smaller harvest resulted in concentrated, aromatic fruit with strong character. Vinification followed traditional Burgundy methods, with fermentation and maturation in French oak barrels, including a proportion of new oak to add structure and complexity without masking the wine’s fruit and mineral profile.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with fish and shellfish, poultry in light cream or butter sauces, and mild cheeses that won’t overpower its delicate structure. Serve it slightly chilled, ideally around 10–12°C, and consider decanting briefly if drinking young to help the aromas open up.
