Dopff & Irion Alsace Gewurztraminer Cuvée René Dopff 2023 is a beautifully expressive white wine from one of Alsace’s most respected names. Named in tribute to a family legacy of Alsatian winemaking, it combines classic Gewürztraminer intensity with freshness, precision, and unmistakable regional character.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright pale yellow color with light green reflections, clean and luminous. The nose is immediately intense and lifted, offering the variety’s signature aromas of spice, dried fruit, and grape skin, rounded out by delicate rose petal notes. On the palate, it is full-flavored and highly aromatic, with a dry, refreshing structure that keeps the wine vibrant and balanced. Its long aromatic finish and crisp aftertaste give it excellent immediate appeal, while the concentration and structure suggest it will hold well over the short to medium term.

Produced in Alsace, where cool conditions and varied soils help preserve freshness while allowing aromatic grapes to fully ripen, this Gewürztraminer reflects the region’s strengths. The wine is made from Traminer Aromatico, with vinification focused on preserving the grape’s natural perfume and purity of fruit, resulting in a wine that is expressive, lively, and true to its origin.
