Tasting Notes
In the glass, this wine typically shows a pale, shimmering straw color with a bright, youthful clarity. The nose is finely drawn, with subtle aromas of white peach, citrus blossom, ripe pear, and crushed stone, all wrapped in a cool, crystalline freshness. On the palate it is light, refined, and graceful, with a very delicate texture and remarkable finesse. The sweetness is beautifully integrated, supported by a precise mineral line and a fine phenolic grip that gives the wine shape and persistence. While already charming in youth, it has the structure and balance to evolve beautifully over time, gaining additional complexity with bottle age.

Production
The Norheimer Kirschheck vineyard lies in the Nahe, an area known for its striking geological diversity and its ability to produce Rieslings of both intensity and elegance. The site’s mix of mineral-rich soils and favorable exposure helps ripen the grapes slowly while preserving the fresh acidity that gives Spätlese its signature lift. Harvest is carried out selectively by hand to ensure only perfectly ripe fruit is chosen, and vinification is traditionally gentle to retain purity, texture, and site character.

Food & Serving
This Spätlese pairs wonderfully with spicy Asian dishes, fruit-forward poultry preparations, lightly glazed pork, or mild soft cheeses. It also works beautifully with subtle desserts featuring stone fruit or citrus. Serve well chilled, ideally around 8–10°C, and there is usually no need to decant unless you wish to give it a little air after opening.
