Domini Veneti Recioto della Valpolicella Sentate Spumante Dolce 2024 is a charming sweet sparkling wine from Veneto, made by the respected Negrar – Domini Veneti cooperative. Crafted from the classic Valpolicella grapes Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella, it combines traditional Recioto richness with an elegant sparkling style that makes it especially festive and distinctive.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows an inviting bright ruby hue with lively bubbles that lift its aromatic intensity. The nose is immediately generous and fruit-driven, with notes of raspberry, black cherry and a hint of dried fruit complexity. On the palate, the wine is lush and sweet, yet balanced by fresh acidity and a delicate mousse. Flavours of cherry jam, raisins and ripe red berries linger on a smooth, pleasant finish. It is best enjoyed young for its vibrant fruit, though the sweetness and concentration give it a satisfying presence that can hold for a few years in bottle.

Production
This wine comes from the Valpolicella area in Veneto, where Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella grapes are traditionally used to make Recioto. The fruit is dried in a loft for around 120 days, concentrating sugar and flavour before vinification. It is then produced as a sparkling wine using the long Charmat method, with about six months on the lees to build texture and refine the bubbles.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at around 6–8°C. It is an excellent match for festive desserts and dry sweet pastries such as sbrisolona cake, cantucci biscuits and pandoro, and it also works beautifully with holiday celebrations like Christmas and Easter. Decanting is not necessary.
