Domäne Serrig Mosel Kabinett Mosel Blanc 2020 is a delicate and refined German white wine from the historic Domäne Serrig estate in the Saarland. Founded by Kaiser Wilhelm II in 1904 as one of Germany’s largest and most important state-owned wine estates, Domäne Serrig is now part of Markus Molitor’s portfolio and continues its tradition of producing elegant wines from steep vineyard sites.

Tasting Notes
The wine presents a graceful, delicate profile, with aromas of white fruit on the nose. On the palate, it is refined and lively, combining gentle fruit character with a distinct mineral freshness. The finish is crisp, energetic and persistent, making it an appealing choice for immediate enjoyment. Its additional bottle ageing following maturation has further contributed to its polished character.

Production
The grapes were gently pressed and underwent a short maceration before a slow, cool fermentation. The wine then matured for 10 months in stainless-steel tanks, preserving its freshness and mineral expression, followed by a further two years of bottle ageing. Domäne Serrig is located in Serrig in the Saarland, an area known for its steep vineyard terrain and cool-climate conditions.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at approximately 8–10°C. Its lively acidity and mineral finish make it a natural partner for fresh seafood, shellfish, light salads, poultry and delicate white fish dishes. It can also be enjoyed on its own as an aperitif. Decanting is not necessary; simply open shortly before serving to allow the aromas to unfold.

Producer
Domäne Serrig was established in 1904 by Kaiser Wilhelm II and was, at the time, the largest and most prominent state-owned wine estate in Germany. The estate was privatised in the late 1980s and acquired by Markus Molitor in 2016. Recognised as a pioneer of German steep-slope viticulture, Molitor has brought renewed attention to the estate and its historic Saarland vineyards.
