Tasting Notes
In the glass, the wine shows a bright ruby colour with youthful violet highlights. The nose is expressive and fresh, revealing aromas of redcurrants, raspberries and black cherries alongside hints of violets, graphite and delicate green herbs. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and finely structured, with juicy red fruit, lively acidity and polished, supple tannins. A subtle mineral character adds definition to the finish, which is fresh and savoury rather than heavy. It can be enjoyed now for its energy and fruit, while careful cellaring for approximately 5–8 years should allow greater aromatic complexity and softness to develop.

Production
The wine comes from Saint-Nicolas de Bourgueil in the Loire Valley, an appellation known for elegant, freshness-driven Cabernet Franc. Domaine Yannick Amirault has farmed its vineyards without fertilisers since 1983, while grass is allowed to grow between the vine rows, eliminating the need for herbicides. The estate is organically certified. Food & Serving

Yannick Amirault took over his family domaine in 1977, when it comprised just 3.4 hectares across Bourgueil and Saint-Nicolas de Bourgueil. The estate has since grown to 19 hectares, including 13 hectares in Bourgueil and 6 in Saint-Nicolas de Bourgueil, while maintaining a strong commitment to environmentally responsible farming. Its long-standing avoidance of fertilisers and herbicides, together with organic certification, has helped establish Domaine Yannick Amirault as a respected producer of authentic, terroir-focused Loire Cabernet Franc.
