Production

Domaine Yannick Amirault has farmed without fertilisers since 1983 and encourages grass to grow between the vine rows, eliminating the need for herbicides; the estate is organically certified. Yannick Amirault took over his family domaine in 1977, when it comprised just 3.4 hectares of vineyards in Bourgueil and Saint-Nicolas de Bourgueil. The estate has since grown to 19 hectares—13 in Bourgueil and 6 in Saint-Nicolas de Bourgueil—while maintaining a strong commitment to sustainable, organic vineyard practices. Its long-standing avoidance of fertilisers and herbicides has helped establish Domaine Yannick Amirault as a notable and respected producer in the Loire Valley.
