Domaine Tortochot’s Morey-Saint-Denis Cuvée Renaissance 2021 is a charming, fruit-driven Burgundy with a rounded palate and finely integrated tannins. Produced by a domaine with four generations of winemaking heritage in Gevrey, it reflects the family’s enduring commitment to expressive Pinot Noir and the character of Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits.

Tasting Notes
The wine presents a graceful red-fruited profile, with a fresh and inviting expression typical of a well-balanced 2021 Burgundy. On the palate, it is fruity, smooth and charming, supported by fine tannins that provide structure without overpowering the wine. Its combination of freshness, elegance and rounded texture makes it approachable, while a short period of cellaring should allow additional harmony and complexity to develop.

Food & Serving
Serve lightly cool, around 14–16°C, to highlight the wine’s freshness and delicate fruit character. It pairs beautifully with roast chicken, duck, veal, mushroom dishes, pâté and other refined preparations that complement rather than overpower its fine structure. Decanting is not essential, although 20–30 minutes in a carafe can help open the wine when enjoyed young.

Domaine Tortochot has been in the Tortochot family for four generations, with the family’s roots as vignerons in Gevrey reaching back to the 19th century. Today, the domaine is led by Chantal Tortochot, great-granddaughter of Paul Tortochot, who combines family tradition with her training as an oenologist. She represents a new generation of Burgundy winemakers focused on expressing terroir through wines with vibrant fruit, firm yet refined tannins and refreshing acidity.
