Domaine Tortochot has been in the Tortochot family for four generations, with the family’s winemaking roots in Gevrey-Chambertin tracing back to the 19th century and Paul Tortochot, a modest vigneron on Place des Marronniers. Today, the domaine is led by his great-granddaughter Chantal, a trained oenologist who represents a new generation committed to producing wines that express their terroir. Her traditional interpretation of Gevrey-Chambertin—marked by abundant fruit, firm tannins and lively acidity—has helped establish Domaine Tortochot as a respected name in the appellation.
