Domaine Tollot-Beaut’s Corton Bressandes Grand Cru is a compelling expression of one of Burgundy’s most respected hilltop sites, combining deep fruit concentration with the poise and precision the domaine is known for. Sourced from a tiny parcel of old Pinot Noir vines on the Corton slope, it reflects both the pedigree of the vineyard and the long family tradition behind this historic estate.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a dark, intense colour that hints at the wine’s depth and concentration. The nose is layered and refined, with ripe dark fruit at the core and the kind of lifted, elegant detail that Burgundy lovers value most. On the palate, the wine is dense yet graceful, with concentrated fruit framed by fine, silky tannins and a beautifully balanced structure. It combines power and finesse in a classic Côte de Beaune style, and has the potential to evolve beautifully over 15–20 years, gaining nuance, complexity, and secondary aromas with time.

Production
The wine comes from a small parcel of less than one hectare on the Corton-Bressandes Grand Cru vineyard, planted with old Pinot Noir vines dating back to the 1950s. These low-yielding vines naturally deliver high concentration and depth, while the traditional vinification includes hand harvesting, destemming, and a focus on ripe fruit. It is then aged in French oak barrels with a moderate proportion of new oak, allowing the fruit to remain central while adding subtle structure and refinement.

Food & Serving
This Grand Cru is an excellent match for beef, veal, duck, game, mushroom dishes, and truffle-based preparations. It also pairs wonderfully with firm aged cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for one to two hours if drinking young to help the wine open up and show its full aromatic range.

Domaine Tollot-Beaut is a long-established family domaine in Chorey-lès-Beaune, founded in the 1880s and now run by the fifth generation. The estate is admired for its classic, terroir-driven style and its careful stewardship of historic parcels in the Côte de Beaune. With a strong reputation for purity, precision, and consistency, it is regarded as one of the benchmark producers in the region.
