Domaine Sylvain Dussort’s Chorey-lès-Beaune "Les Beaumonts" 2022 is a beautifully individual expression of Pinot Noir from one of Burgundy’s most understated communes. Sourced from vineyards nestled between Savigny-lès-Beaune and Aloxe-Corton, it combines the finesse and precision of Meursault craftsmanship with the depth and charm of classic Côte de Beaune terroir.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, this red Burgundy shows a vibrant, inviting colour and a refined, polished character. The nose opens with a generous mix of red and dark berries—strawberry, raspberry, blackberry, and boysenberry—layered with the earthy, slightly wild scents of woodland, undergrowth, and autumn leaves. On the palate, the wine is supple yet full-flavoured, with finely grained tannins and a rich, satisfying texture. It balances elegance with substance, offering both freshness and depth, and should continue to develop beautifully over the next 8 years or more, gaining complexity and nuance with time.

Production
The vines for this cuvée grow in Chorey-lès-Beaune, where the terroir benefits from its position alongside some of Burgundy’s most respected appellations. The soils and exposure help produce Pinot Noir with both body and aromatic lift, making it an ideal fit for Sylvain Dussort’s style. After harvest, the wine is aged in oak barrels for 12 to 14 months, then transferred to a single tank for a further 3 months of rest before bottling.

Food & Serving
This is a versatile and food-friendly Burgundy that pairs especially well with roast poultry, duck breast, grilled salmon, mushroom dishes, and lighter game. Serve it slightly cool, around 15–17°C, and consider a short decant if opening young to let the aromas fully open in the glass.
