Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows the kind of polished, refined appearance associated with top Vosne-Romanée, with vibrant Pinot Noir fruit and an understated sense of concentration. The nose is intensely pure and expressive, offering an alluring aromatic lift and a compelling, almost captivating character. On the palate, it is beautifully balanced, with a little more grip and structure than the domaine’s Les Suchots, yet everything comes together with striking harmony toward the finish. The wine already feels complete and poised, though its depth and structure suggest it should reward cellaring beautifully over the coming years.

Aux Malconsorts is one of Vosne-Romanée’s most distinguished premier cru vineyards, known for producing Pinot Noir of fragrance, precision, and seriousness. In 2023, two-thirds new oak was used, but the élevage is described as highly integrated, indicating careful vinification and maturation aimed at preserving the site’s purity while adding subtle structure and complexity.

This is a natural match for refined dishes such as roast duck, pigeon, veal tenderloin, mushroom risotto, or game bird with a light red wine sauce. Serve at around 16–17°C and consider decanting for about 30 to 60 minutes if drinking young, to allow the aromatics to open and the texture to soften.
