Production
The grapes come from vineyards in Saint-Lay, where the soils of clay and flint help shape the wine’s finesse and character. Harvest is carried out traditionally by hand in mid-September, allowing careful selection of ripe fruit. Vinified as a 100% Pinot Noir, the wine reflects a classic Loire approach: gentle handling, a focus on purity, and an emphasis on preserving the grape’s delicate aromatics and natural freshness.

Food & Serving
This Pinot Noir is an excellent match for red meats, lamb, and a range of cheeses. Serve slightly chilled, ideally around 14–16°C, to bring out its freshness and aromatic lift. Decanting is not essential, but a short aeration can help the wine open up if served young.

Domaine Serge Dagueneau et Filles is a family-owned estate with more than four generations of history, based in the hills around Pouilly-sur-Loire and Saint-Andelain. Alongside its main vineyards, the domaine also cultivates parcels in Saint-Lay for Côtes de la Charité wines. The estate carries forward a deep family legacy, including the memory of La Léontine, born in 1889, remembered as a winemaker in heart and soul and an important figure in the family story.
