Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Pinot Noir shows a bright, inviting ruby hue. The nose is lifted and expressive, with red berries at the forefront—raspberry, redcurrant, cranberry, and tart cherry—framed by darker notes of boysenberry and blackberry, plus a clear sense of woodland floor and spicy, mineral nuance. The palate is juicy and finely textured, balancing lively red-fruit brightness with a more generous core of dark berry fruit. There’s a Burgundian earthiness beneath it all, along with a subtle savory spice that adds complexity and depth. While already appealing in its youth, this wine should gain additional nuance over the next few years, especially as its oak integration and earthy notes continue to soften and evolve.

Production
Les Beaumonts sits on the edge of Aloxe-Corton, a position that helps give this Chorey-Les-Beaune a little more concentration and richness than is typical for the appellation. Domaine Roux harvested and vinified the wine with a serious Burgundy approach, then matured it for 15–16 months in oak barrels, including 20–25% new wood, to add structure and polish without overpowering the fruit.

Food & Serving
Serve at around 14°C in large Burgundy glasses to let the aromatics open fully. This Pinot Noir is an excellent match for roast poultry, duck breast, grilled salmon, mushroom dishes, or lighter game, and it also works beautifully with earthy vegetarian plates. Decanting is not essential, but a short decant can help if the wine is being opened young.
