Domaine Rolet Père & Fils Arbois Trousseau 2023 is a beautifully expressive Jura red that showcases one of France’s most distinctive native grapes. Light on its feet yet quietly layered, it combines dark berry fruit, spice and a mineral, iron-tinged edge in a style that feels both refined and characterful.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright, elegant ruby tone with a delicate, almost transparent depth that hints at its freshness. The nose is inviting and fruit-driven, with dark berries, subtle spice and a distinctly mineral nuance that gives the wine its Jura identity. On the palate, it is silky and supple, with fine tannins, juicy dark fruit and a well-integrated acidity that keeps everything vivid and precise. Compared with Pinot Noir, it has a slightly more muscular and darker-fruited personality, while still remaining graceful. Enjoy it now for its freshness and charm, though it should continue to evolve nicely over the next few years.

Sourced from the Arbois area in Jura, this Trousseau is crafted from 100% stemmed grapes, a choice that adds freshness, lift and aromatic complexity. The wine is aged for 9 months, split evenly between oak barrels and cement tanks, giving it a balanced combination of texture, subtle wood influence and pure fruit expression.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for game, roasted red meats and dishes with a Nordic or contemporary seasonal profile, where its mineral backbone and dark fruit can really shine. Serve it slightly chilled, ideally around 14–16°C, and decanting is optional but can help open up the aromatic detail if the bottle is enjoyed young.
