Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby-red color with impressive clarity. The nose opens with vibrant red berry aromas—cherry and raspberry at the fore—layered with subtle notes of forest floor, gentle spice and a touch of toasted oak from aging. The palate is elegant and finely structured, with silky tannins, bright acidity and a long, mineral finish. The balance between ripe fruit, freshness and a clear sense of place gives it real presence now, while also suggesting good development over the next several years.

Production
The wine comes from Clos Roussots, a respected Premier Cru vineyard on steep slopes in Maranges, where the cooler climate and limestone-rich Burgundy soils help preserve freshness and precision in Pinot Noir. The grapes are vinified with careful attention to expressing the vineyard’s character, then matured for 10–12 months in a mix of new and used oak barrels to add subtle complexity without overpowering the fruit.
