Domaine Roc des Anges ‘Carignan 1903’ is a characterful red from the sun-drenched Roussillon, made from some of the oldest Carignan vines in the region. Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a deep ruby hue with a slightly lifted, youthful edge. The nose brings dark berries, black cherries, dried herbs, garrigue, and a subtle earthy spice, with the old vines lending extra concentration and perfume. On the palate, it is expressive yet composed, with juicy red and black fruit, savory mineral notes, fine tannins, and a fresh line of acidity that keeps the wine vibrant. The 2023 vintage should have the structure to develop gracefully over the next few years, while still offering plenty of charm now.

This is an excellent match for grilled lamb, roast duck, sausages, herby Mediterranean dishes, and slow-cooked vegetable stews. Serve it slightly cool at around 16–18°C; decanting for 30–60 minutes is recommended if drinking young to help the aromatics open up.
