Tasting Notes
In the glass, this wine shows a bright, polished appearance with the clarity and tension typical of top Bourgogne Chardonnay. The nose opens with citrus, white flowers, and green apple, gradually unfolding into softer notes of honey, roasted nuts, and a subtle mineral edge. On the palate, it is generous yet beautifully balanced, with a full-bodied texture supported by lively acidity. Layers of ripe fruit, chalky minerality, and discreet oak give it both complexity and a lightly creamy feel, while the finish is long, elegant, and persistent. It has excellent aging potential and should develop even greater depth and nuance over the next several years.

Production
The 2021 vintage in Burgundy was marked by spring frost and reduced yields, but the grapes that remained achieved excellent concentration and balance. Les Charmes Dessus is a highly regarded Premier Cru site in Meursault, with limestone and clay soils that help shape the wine’s signature mineral precision, texture, and layered complexity.
