Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright, elegant ruby-red colour. The nose opens with red cherry, raspberry, and wild strawberry, followed by subtle floral accents, spice, forest floor, and a delicate touch of oak. The palate is balanced and precise, with fresh acidity, fine tannins, and a layered core of red fruit, earthy minerality, and lightly toasted nuances from careful ageing. The finish is long and harmonious, and while it is already expressive now, it should gain further complexity and silkiness with a few more years in cellar.

Les Vignes Franches is a well-regarded Premier Cru site in Beaune, where limestone and clay soils help shape wines with minerality, structure, and aromatic finesse. The challenging 2021 growing season in Burgundy, marked by spring frost and reduced yields, led to lower quantities but excellent fruit concentration. Vinification is handled with a restrained Burgundian approach to preserve purity, texture, and the character of the terroir.
