Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Mercurey shows a vibrant ruby-red colour with a subtle sheen. The nose opens with ripe dark berries, forest floor, and autumnal spice, followed by a discreet mineral edge that adds lift and definition. On the palate, the wine is supple yet concentrated, with a core of mature dark fruit wrapped around a quietly firm, elegant frame. The tannins are gentle but persistent, carrying the flavours long after the sip and suggesting good ageing potential over the next several years.

Production
The wine comes from the Premier Cru vineyard Les Vasées, a site planted entirely to Pinot Noir and prized for its ability to produce wines with dark berry character and refined structure. Its south-facing exposure provides generous sunlight and warmth, while the subsoil of clay marl and high limestone content helps preserve freshness, tension, and finesse. In the cellar, the wine was matured for 12–13 months in French oak barrels, with 25% new oak used to add subtle complexity without overwhelming the vineyard character.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent partner for roasted duck, mushroom dishes, game birds, veal, or herb-crusted lamb. It also pairs beautifully with aged hard cheeses. Serve at around 15–17°C, and consider decanting for 30–45 minutes if opening it young to allow the aromatics to fully unfold.
