Tasting Notes
Now at an ideal stage of maturity, the wine shows a garnet core with brick-red reflections at the rim. The nose is layered and seductive, opening with dried cherries, wild strawberries, and ripe plums, then unfolding into violet, rose petal, forest floor, truffle, gentle smoke, and a touch of exotic spice. On the palate, it is harmonious and refined, with fully resolved tannins and a fresh thread of acidity that keeps the mature fruit lively. Flavours of red berries, leather, undergrowth, mushrooms, and a mineral edge build across the palate, leading to a long, complex finish marked by floral spice. This is a wine in its perfect drinking window now, though it will remain a graceful bottle for some time yet.
