Tasting Notes
The wine shows an intense, almost opaque ruby color with youthful violet highlights. The nose is layered and expressive, with ripe black cherry, blackberry, and blueberry unfolding into violet, rose petal, exotic spice, smoke, truffle, cedar, and a refined touch of new oak. On the palate, it is both muscular and silky, built on dense, perfectly ripe tannins and a vivid, refreshing acidity. Dark fruit, licorice, oriental spice, dark chocolate, and a distinctive mineral line give the wine remarkable balance and length. The finish is extraordinarily long, complex, and harmonious, and the 2020 vintage has the concentration and precision to age gracefully for 30 years or more.

Production
Richebourg is one of the great Grand Cru climats of the Côte de Nuits, where Burgundian limestone soils and an ideal exposure help produce Pinot Noir of exceptional structure and perfume. The 2020 vintage combines this powerful terroir with careful vineyard work and precise vinification, resulting in a wine that balances richness, freshness, and tension.

This is a wine for special occasions and deserves equally refined food. It pairs beautifully with game, roast lamb, duck, truffle dishes, and rich mushroom-based cuisine. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant for 1–2 hours if drinking young to allow the wine to open fully.
