Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Pinot Noir typically shows a deep, concentrated ruby color. The bouquet is layered and expressive, with dark cherries, exotic spices, licorice, and a mineral thread of crushed rock, all unfolding with remarkable depth and finesse. On the palate, the wine is rich yet impeccably balanced, with a silky texture, vivid fruit, and a long, spice-laced finish that speaks clearly of its site. The 2010 vintage has the structure and concentration to age beautifully, and Robert Parker suggested an optimal drinking window of 2020–2030, though well-stored bottles may continue to show gracefully beyond that.

Les Suchots is one of Vosne-Romanée’s most admired Premier Cru vineyards, known for producing wines with aromatic complexity, density, and a distinctly supple, perfumed style. Lucien Le Moine sources top-quality fruit and vinifies it in Beaune using a highly focused approach: aging on the lees in new Burgundy oak barrels, late malolactic fermentation, and bottling by hand without filtration to preserve texture, terroir character, and depth.

This wine is a natural partner for refined dishes such as duck breast, roast pigeon, veal tenderloin, game birds, or mushroom-based preparations. It is best served at around 16–18°C and may benefit from 30–60 minutes in a decanter if opened young, though an older bottle should be handled gently and poured carefully.
