Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a brilliant golden hue. The nose is layered and expressive, unfolding with citrus fruit, baked apple, toasted nuts, honey, and a pronounced mineral edge. The palate is concentrated and intensely textured, with a creamy mouthfeel lifted by fresh acidity. Notes of butter, vanilla, and wet stone carry through to a long, polished finish. This is a wine with outstanding aging potential, and it will continue to gain complexity over many years.

Bâtard-Montrachet is one of Burgundy’s most prestigious Grand Cru vineyards, known for giving Chardonnay both richness and precision. Domaine Leflaive farms the site according to biodynamic principles, with natural fermentation and maturation in French oak barrels. A carefully measured proportion of new oak adds structure and complexity without masking the vineyard’s inherent delicacy.
