Tasting Notes
In the glass, the 1990 vintage typically shows a deep garnet hue with mature, layered complexity. On the palate, it is both commanding and refined, with concentrated dark fruit framed by fresh acidity and a sturdy, beautifully integrated tannic structure. This is an outstanding match for roast lamb, beef, game, braised short ribs, duck, and rich dishes with herbs or earthy mushroom flavors. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting older bottles gently for sediment or younger examples for 1–3 hours to help the aromas fully open.
