Tasting Notes
In the glass, this 2020 vintage shows the classic brightness and refinement you’d expect from top Puligny-Montrachet: pale gold in color with a luminous, polished sheen. The nose is layered and expressive, with aromas of lemon zest, pear, butter, fresh grass, chalk, and subtle toasted oak. On the palate, the wine is concentrated and intense, yet beautifully balanced, with a vibrant mineral core that speaks clearly of old vines and limestone-rich soils. The oak is well integrated, adding a gentle frame rather than dominating the fruit. Expect a long, persistent finish with excellent aging potential, where the wine will continue to gain complexity over the coming years.

Production
The grapes are hand-harvested and transported quickly to the press in small closed containers to preserve freshness and aromatic precision. The wine is aged in French oak barrels, around one-third of which are new, allowing the Chardonnay to develop texture and nuance while retaining the purity and tension that define Puligny-Montrachet. The vineyard’s old vines and Bourgogne’s rich limestone soils contribute to the wine’s depth, minerality, and sense of place.

Food & Serving
This is a superb match for refined dishes such as lobster, scallops, roast chicken with cream sauce, turbot, or simply a well-made risotto with mushrooms or asparagus. Serve it cool, ideally around 10–12°C, and consider brief decanting if opening in its youth to give the wine a little extra room to unfold in the glass.
