Description
Domaine Guinand’s Pink Gorilla 2025 is a fresh, elegant French rosé made near Montpellier in the Saint-Christol area. Its delicate pink colour, ripe-fruit character and refined floral aromas make it an especially versatile choice for aperitif moments and light summer cuisine. Crafted by the eighth generation of the Guinand family, it reflects the estate’s long-standing commitment to authentic, terroir-conscious winemaking.
Tasting Notes
Bright and delicately pink in appearance, this rosé opens with inviting aromas of ripe fruit and subtle, refined flowers. The palate is soft and refreshing, offering an elegant, light-bodied expression with a clean and pleasing finish.
Pink Gorilla is best enjoyed young, when its freshness and fruit-forward character are at their most vibrant. While it is not intended for extended cellaring, it should drink beautifully over the next year or two when stored in a cool, dark place.
Production
The Guinand family estate is located in Saint-Christol, just a few kilometres from Montpellier in southern France. Since 2002, the domaine has been certified under the Terra Vitis® scheme, reflecting its commitment to sustainable farming. The wine is produced using the rosé de saignée method, in which part of the juice is drawn off after limited contact with the grape skins, before fermentation at low temperature. It is then matured in stainless-steel tanks to preserve its freshness, fruit purity and delicate floral profile.
Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at approximately 8–10°C. This graceful rosé is ideal as an aperitif and pairs naturally with salmon carpaccio, vegetable tart or other light Mediterranean-inspired dishes. Its fresh, gentle style also makes it a lovely match for a bowl of fresh fruit salad. Decanting is not recommended; simply chill, open and serve.
Producer
Located near Montpellier, Domaine Guinand is a family-run estate with a history spanning eight generations. Fabien and Sophie Guinand took over the winery in 2017, continuing the family tradition while focusing on more authentic wines that respect the character of the terroir.
