Domaine Fredavelle’s Cuvée Domaine is a dry, expressive rosé from Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence, combining generous fruit with a beautifully balanced, refreshing character. Made at a family-run estate founded by David Ravel and Olivia Menigoz, it reflects the couple’s long-standing passion for the vineyards of Provence and the domaine’s first harvest in 1999.

Tasting Notes
Pale and inviting in appearance, this rosé opens with an aromatic fragrance of rose petals and delicate floral notes. The palate is full-bodied yet fresh, with a juicy expression of ripe red fruit and a harmonious, well-balanced finish. It is best enjoyed young, when its floral character and vibrant fruit are at their most expressive, ideally within the first year or two after release.

Production
The estate’s 32 hectares of vineyards are located around Éguilles, approximately 10 kilometres west of Aix-en-Provence, at an elevation of around 300 metres. Traditional Provençal varieties, including Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah, are cultivated for rosé production, although the exact blend for this cuvée is not specified. The grapes are harvested at night to preserve freshness and limit oxidation, then fermented at low temperatures to retain their delicate fruit and floral aromas.

Food & Serving
A versatile choice as an aperitif, this rosé pairs beautifully with fresh salads, grilled meats and fish tartare. Its juicy fruit and dry finish also complement desserts featuring red berries and other red fruits. Serve well chilled at approximately 8–10°C; decanting is not necessary.
