Tasting Notes
In the glass, this wine shows a deep ruby color with a youthful sheen. The nose opens with a mix of black and red fruit, especially blackcurrant and blueberry, lifted by notes of cracked pepper, leather, and a subtle stony freshness. On the palate, it is medium-bodied yet impressively layered, with silky tannins and vibrant acidity giving the wine poise and energy. The dark fruit core is supported by savory spice and a mineral edge, leading to a long, structured finish. While immediately enjoyable, it has the balance and framework to age gracefully over the next several years.

Production
Les Ribaudes is made from 100% Syrah grown on granite-rich soils in Saint-Joseph, from parcels planted with vines aged between 10 and 35 years. The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented with natural yeasts in open cement or concrete vats, followed by a gentle maceration of around three weeks to preserve purity and finesse. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for 15 months in large French foudres and demi-muids, with only a very small proportion of new oak to keep the terroir expression clear and the tannins finely textured.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for roast lamb, grilled duck, venison, beef tenderloin, or herb-crusted sausages, as well as mushroom-based dishes and aged hard cheeses. Serve it at 16–18°C, and decant for about 30–60 minutes if drinking young to allow the aromatics and texture to खुलly unfold.
