Domaine Famille Paquet, Mâcon-Prissé Le Clos 2022 White

Domaine Famille Paquet’s Mâcon-Prissé “Le Clos” 2022 is a refined white Burgundy from the heart of the Mâconnais, combining bright fruit, floral character and a subtly spicy finish. Produced by three brothers continuing a family winegrowing tradition that began in 1980, it reflects their ambition to create pure, expressive wines with a strong sense of place.

Tasting Notes
The wine has a bright, clear golden appearance. Its expressive, aromatic nose opens with notes of acacia blossom and spring flowers, followed by soft, inviting fruit aromas. On the palate, it is balanced and fresh, with a fine acidity that lifts citrus flavours and a delicate hint of ginger. The finish is long and persistent, leaving a pleasing impression of ripe fruit and gentle spice. Enjoyable now for its freshness and aromatic detail, this Mâcon-Prissé should develop added roundness and complexity over the next few years when stored properly.

Production
Made in the Mâconnais, the wine expresses the region’s capacity for producing elegant, characterful white Burgundy. Famille Paquet works with respect for the terroir and places a strong emphasis on sustainable, organic and biodynamic viticulture. After fermentation, the wine undergoes 100% malolactic conversion and is aged for 18 months on fine lees in stainless-steel tanks, preserving its freshness while adding texture and depth.

Food & Serving
A versatile choice as an aperitif, this Mâcon-Prissé also pairs beautifully with fish dishes, shellfish, light poultry preparations and a selection of fresh or moderately mature cheeses. Serve lightly chilled at around 10–12°C. Decanting is not necessary, although allowing the wine to breathe briefly in the glass will help reveal its floral and citrus aromas.
