The blend is approximately 80% Grenache, 6% Syrah, 4% Mourvèdre, with the remainder made up of other permitted varieties, capturing the field-blend complexity that defines traditional Châteauneuf. Grapes are typically harvested by hand to ensure careful selection in the vineyard, then fermented with minimal intervention—often with whole clusters—in large vats. Aging takes place in old foudres and neutral oak, preserving the wine’s authenticity, savory complexity, and sense of place rather than imposing overt new oak character.
