Blending 13 traditional grape varieties, led by a dominant share of Grenache, it captures the generosity, spice, and old-school character that have made this cuvée a benchmark in the Rhône.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep, inviting color that hints at its concentration and youthful energy. The nose opens with blackberry, dark plum, black tea, black pepper, and fresh herbs like rosemary and thyme, with leather and sandalwood emerging with a little air. The palate is full of power and finesse, delivering dense dark fruit, clove, white pepper, and more of that lifted herbal character. Despite its richness, it stays balanced and precise, with the kind of structure that promises excellent evolution over the next 5 years and a long drinking window of 20 to 25 years or more.

Production
The wine comes from Châteauneuf-du-Pape in the Southern Rhône, where the warm, sun-drenched climate and galet-strewn soils help Grenache achieve exceptional ripeness and concentration. The blend includes 13 grape varieties, though Grenache dominates, and the grapes are pressed as whole clusters before fermentation in cement tanks without added yeast. The wine is then matured for two years in used oak barrels to preserve purity while adding complexity.

Food & Serving
This is a natural match for richly flavored dishes such as roast lamb, beef short ribs, game, duck, or Provençal-style stews with herbs and olives. Serve it at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for at least 1–2 hours to allow the aromas and tannins to fully open, especially when enjoyed young in magnum.
