With just 300 magnums produced, it combines the depth of old vines, planted in 1936, with the characterful richness and precision that make Les Charmes so sought after.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Meursault shows the generous, layered style classic to great white Burgundy. The bouquet unfolds with ripe stone fruit such as peach and apricot, lifted by fine mineral notes and a delicate smoky edge from the oak. On the palate, it is full-bodied and textured, yet kept beautifully in balance by a fresh, lively backbone and a long, refined finish. The wine has the concentration and structure to age gracefully for several years, gaining additional complexity and nuance over time.

Production
The grapes come from a tiny parcel on the lower section of Les Charmes, a site known for producing some of the deepest and most generous wines in Meursault. The old Chardonnay vines, planted in 1936, contribute both concentration and balance, while the small-scale production allows for careful hand harvesting and meticulous selection. Fermentation takes place in oak barrels, including malolactic fermentation, followed by up to 18 months of ageing in barrel. The wine is bottled unfiltered, preserving texture and aromatic detail while highlighting the purity of the terroir.

Food & Serving
This is a superb match for fine fish dishes, especially when served with a rich sauce, such as beurre blanc, shellfish cream, or saffron-based preparations. It also pairs well with lobster, roast poultry, or elegant mushroom dishes. Serve at around 10–12°C, and consider a brief decant if opened young to allow the wine’s aromatics to open fully.
