Tasting Notes

The nose opens with notes of ripe peaches, apple, and citrus, lifted by a clear mineral edge that keeps the wine feeling fresh and focused. Production
The wine comes from two parcels in Meursault, where the chalky soils and favorable site selection help shape a precise balance of richness and mineral tension. The grapes are hand-harvested and pressed immediately upon arrival at the cellar to preserve freshness and purity. Fermentation and maturation take place traditionally in oak barrels, with the wine aged for 15 to 18 months before bottling. The exact time in barrel depends on the vintage, allowing Domaine des Terres de Velle to adapt the élevage to the character of each harvest and achieve the best possible balance.

Food & Serving
This Meursault is an excellent match for fish dishes, particularly richer preparations such as roasted turbot, monkfish, or creamy sauces, and it also pairs beautifully with dry cheeses. Serve at around 10–12°C to highlight both the wine’s texture and freshness. Decanting is not essential, but a short decant can help open the wine if it is served young.
