Tasting Notes
In the glass, this 2022 shows the generous, luminous style typical of ripe Burgundy Chardonnay. The nose opens with subtle notes of pineapple and melon, lifted by a discreet oak influence that adds complexity without overpowering the fruit. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and layered, with a creamy texture from full malolactic fermentation and a long, persistent finish where the fruit remains beautifully present. The balance of ripe fruit, fine oak and structure suggests good ageing potential over the coming years, during which it should gain even more nuance and harmony.

Production
The La Platière parcel lies in the southern part of Chassagne-Montrachet, on an east-facing slope that offers ideal conditions for Chardonnay. The grapes are harvested by hand, then gently pressed at the winery before natural settling of the juice. Fermentation takes place in oak barrels, 30% of them new, followed by full malolactic fermentation and up to 18 months of ageing in barrel.

Food & Serving
This wine is an excellent match for roasted fish or grilled poultry, where its richness and oak complexity can complement savory flavors. Serve it at around 10–12°C to preserve freshness while allowing the wine’s depth to show. Decanting is not essential, but a short aeration can help the aromas open up if the wine is served young.
