Domaine de la Roche Aiguë Hautes Côtes de Beaune Rouge La Dalignère 2022 is a graceful Burgundy Pinot Noir with freshness, subtle spice, and an immediately welcoming texture. Sourced from a high-altitude parcel in La Dalignère, it combines the elegance of Hautes Côtes de Beaune with a soil profile that recalls the firmer, more structured character of Pommard.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a classic ruby-red color. The nose opens with blackberry, blueberry, redcurrant, cherry stone, pepper, and a touch of forest floor, giving it both lift and complexity. The palate is driven by ripe red fruit, layered with fine depth and a smooth, balanced feel. Tannins are well integrated, and the finish is long, soft, and persistent, suggesting the wine can be enjoyed now while still having a few years of graceful aging ahead.

Production
The grapes come from a single parcel in La Dalignère at around 320 meters above sea level in the Hautes Côtes de Beaune, where the cooler site helps preserve freshness and aromatic precision. Harvesting is done by hand, and the fruit is partially destemmed before pressing and fermentation. The wine is then matured for approximately 12 months, mainly in used oak barrels, allowing the fruit and site expression to remain at the forefront.

Food & Serving
This Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with roasted poultry, duck breast, mushroom dishes, game birds, and salmon, as well as earthy vegetarian plates like lentil stew or beetroot tart. Serve it slightly cool, around 14-16°C, and consider a short decant if opened young to let the aromas fully unfold.
