Domaine de la Renardiere Ploussard 2024 is an organic Jura red that captures the delicate, distinctive character of Poulsard, one of the region’s indigenous grape varieties. Made in Pupillin within the Arbois-Pupillin appellation, it combines a light-bodied style with remarkable persistence, offering an authentic expression of Jura’s long winemaking tradition.

Tasting Notes
Light ruby-red in appearance, this still red wine opens with delicate aromas of fresh red berries and subtle earthy notes reminiscent of woodland undergrowth. The palate is silky and finely textured, with bright fruit, gentle structure and a lingering finish that remains elegant rather than heavy. Poulsard’s natural finesse makes this a particularly graceful red in its youth, while its depth and balance allow it to develop further in bottle. Properly stored, it has an estimated aging potential of around 10–15 years.

Production
The wine comes from organically farmed vineyards in Pupillin, a celebrated terroir within Jura’s Arbois-Pupillin appellation, where Poulsard develops a precise and nuanced aromatic profile. The winemaking is focused on preserving the purity of the fruit and the grape’s subtle character, with maturation in oak barrels to support the wine’s structure without overpowering it. It is bottled unfiltered, helping retain its expressive texture and natural depth.

Food & Serving
Serve lightly chilled at 14–16°C. Its silky texture and bright red-fruit profile pair beautifully with duck breast, roast poultry and pork, while its earthy nuances also complement Jura and other mature cheeses. Decant for approximately one hour before serving to allow the wine to open fully and reveal greater aromatic detail.
