Tasting Notes
Medium ruby in the glass, this 2023 opens with an immediately expressive bouquet of sweet red and black berries, dried Provencal herbs, black olive, pepper, and floral notes. The aromatics are vivid and layered, giving the wine a lifted, almost silky character from the first swirl. On the palate, it is supple and finely textured, with ripe velvety tannins, seamless balance, and a long, graceful finish. The fruit is concentrated yet refined, supported by savory spice and herbal complexity; this is a wine with both immediate charm and the structure to age beautifully over the next 15–20 years.

Production
Cuvée Chaupin comes exclusively from the Chapouin lieu-dit, with a small addition from Janasse, giving the wine a distinctive sense of place within Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The fruit was partially destemmed and matured for 12 months in a combination of 70% foudre and 30% demi-muids, a élevage that preserves freshness while adding subtle depth and texture.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs especially well with roast lamb, Provençal herb-crusted dishes, duck, grilled game, and slow-cooked meats with olives or tomatoes. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 1–2 hours when young to help the aromatics fully open.
