Description

Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Musigny Grand Cru 2013 is one of the world’s most celebrated Pinot Noir wines and the crown jewel of the historic Chambolle-Musigny estate. Sourced from one of Burgundy’s most revered Grand Cru vineyards, it is prized for its rare balance of power, finesse, and depth—an expression that has long defined the very top tier of the region.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows the refined, luminous character that Musigny is famous for, with a fragrance of wild raspberries, cherries, violets, rose petals, oriental spice, forest floor, and a subtle mineral edge. As it evolves, the bouquet can gain extraordinary layers of truffle, dried flowers, and exotic spice, adding remarkable complexity and dimension. On the palate, the wine is both intense and weightless, combining silky texture with impressive concentration, vibrant acidity, and beautifully refined tannins. Flavours of red and dark berries, floral tones, and chalky minerality unfold in elegant layers, leading to a remarkably long finish. This is a wine built for patience and can develop gracefully over decades.

Production
Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé is the largest owner of parcels in the legendary Musigny vineyard, a site long regarded as one of Burgundy’s greatest terroirs. The estate works with uncompromising respect for the vineyard, aiming to preserve the character of the Grand Cru site and express the full finesse and aristocratic structure that Musigny is known for. The 2013 vintage reflects classic Burgundy precision, allowing the grape and terroir to speak with clarity and detail.

Food & Serving
This is a superb match for refined dishes such as duck breast, pigeon, roast game birds, veal, and mushroom-based preparations. It also pairs beautifully with truffle dishes, earthy risottos, and aged cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant gently if young to help the wine open up and reveal its full aromatic complexity.

Producer
Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé is one of Burgundy’s most prestigious and historic domaines, with deep roots in Chambolle-Musigny and an exceptional reputation for producing world-class Pinot Noir. The estate is especially significant for its holdings in Musigny, where it owns the largest share of the Grand Cru vineyard. Its wines are widely admired for their purity, elegance, and extraordinary ageing potential, and the domaine is considered a benchmark producer in Burgundy.
