Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright, pale straw color with a clean, shimmering appearance. The nose is refined and expressive, with citrus, grapefruit, and subtle floral notes unfolding into a distinct mineral character as the wine opens up. On the palate, the wine is lively and beautifully balanced, with a refreshing acidity that gives it both immediate charm and impressive structure. The mineral backbone adds tension and precision, while the fruit remains crisp and focused. It has excellent aging potential, and a few years in bottle will likely add depth, complexity, and an even more layered expression of the Schlossberg terroir.

Production
Domaine Albert Mann is based in Wettolsheim, near Colmar in the heart of Alsace, where the family estate farms 23 hectares across eight communes. Since 2000, the domaine has worked organically and follows biodynamic principles, with vineyards divided into numerous small parcels that include five Grands Crus, two Lieux-dits, and one monopole Clos. This Riesling comes from granite soils in the Schlossberg area, a terroir that gives the wine its signature minerality and precision.

Food & Serving
This Riesling is an excellent match for lobster tempura with crayfish, seafood risotto, shrimp spaghetti, and delicate fish dishes such as trout with almonds. Serve well chilled at around 8-10°C to highlight its freshness and mineral drive. Decanting is not necessary for immediate enjoyment, but a short aeration can help reveal additional aromatic detail if the wine is served young.
