Description

Dom Ruinart Rosé 2009 is the prestige cuvée rosé from Ruinart, one of Champagne’s oldest and most revered houses. Made only in exceptional vintages, it combines Chardonnay-led finesse with the depth and complexity that have made Dom Ruinart a benchmark for age-worthy rosé Champagne.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows an elegant pale salmon hue with fine, persistent bubbles. The nose is layered and expressive, with notes of red berries, citrus zest, dried flowers, and subtle spice, unfolding into hints of brioche and toasted almond as it opens. On the palate, it is precise and silky, balancing vibrant freshness with a broad, refined texture. Expect flavors of wild strawberry, blood orange, stone fruit, and delicate pastry notes, carried by a long mineral finish. Thanks to its structure and concentration, it has excellent aging potential and will continue to evolve beautifully over time.

Production
Dom Ruinart Rosé 2009 is sourced from carefully selected vineyards across Champagne, with a strong emphasis on Chardonnay from chalk-rich terroirs that bring tension, purity, and minerality. The 2009 vintage offered ripe fruit and generous concentration, which are balanced here by Ruinart’s signature elegance. Vinification is carried out with meticulous attention to preserve freshness, finesse, and aromatic complexity, resulting in a rosé Champagne of both power and precision.

Food & Serving
An excellent partner for tuna tartare, salmon, lobster, duck breast, or dishes with red berry accents. It also works beautifully with fine charcuterie and soft-ripened cheeses. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C, and while decanting is not necessary, allowing the wine a few minutes in the glass can help reveal its full aromatic breadth.

Producer
Founded in 1729, Ruinart is the oldest established Champagne house and has long been recognized for its mastery of Chardonnay. Based in Reims, it has played a defining role in shaping the style and reputation of Champagne, particularly through its elegant, mineral-driven cuvées. Dom Ruinart stands as the house’s prestige expression, celebrated for its consistency, refinement, and ability to age gracefully.
