Description
Dom Pérignon Rosé 2009 is a rare and expressive prestige cuvée from Moët & Chandon, offering the depth of Pinot Noir with the finesse of Chardonnay. Crafted only in exceptional vintages, it stands out for its precision, elegance, and signature Dom Pérignon style, while carrying the legacy of one of Champagne’s most iconic names.
Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a refined pink-gold hue with a fine, persistent mousse. The nose is layered and complex, unfolding with notes of wild strawberry, raspberry, citrus zest, red rose, spice, and a subtle smoky mineral edge.
On the palate, it is structured yet silky, with vibrant acidity balancing ripe red berry fruit, blood orange, brioche, and chalky minerality. The finish is long, poised, and beautifully detailed, suggesting excellent aging potential and the ability to gain even more depth over time.
Production
Sourced from selected vineyards across Champagne, this rosé reflects the region’s chalk-driven terroirs and the careful blending of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. As with Dom Pérignon, production is limited to vintages deemed exceptional, with meticulous hand harvesting and precise vinification aimed at preserving freshness, tension, and aromatic complexity.
Food & Serving
Best enjoyed with dishes that match its intensity and elegance, such as sushi, lobster, duck breast, tuna tartare, or lightly spiced game birds. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C, and decanting is generally not necessary, though a short rest in the glass can help the wine раскры its full aromatic range.
Producer
Moët & Chandon is one of Champagne’s most renowned houses, with a history dating back to 1743 and a reputation built on craftsmanship, consistency, and prestige. Dom Pérignon, named after the legendary Benedictine monk often associated with early Champagne innovation, has become the house’s most celebrated luxury cuvée and a benchmark for vintage Champagne worldwide.
