Description
Dom Pérignon Rosé 2009 is one of Champagne’s most coveted prestige cuvées, presented here in an elegant gift coffret that underscores its celebratory character. Crafted from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, it combines power, finesse, and a distinctly gastronomic style, with the added allure of one of the most iconic names in Champagne history.
Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a refined pale salmon to deep pink hue with a delicate, persistent mousse. The nose is expressive and layered, offering red berries, citrus peel, rose petal, subtle spice, and a touch of toasted brioche and smoke.
The palate is precise and beautifully textured, balancing ripe strawberry, raspberry, blood orange, and stone fruit with mineral tension and a long, chalky finish. The 2009 vintage brings generous fruit and immediate appeal, while the structure suggests excellent development in bottle over time.
Production
Dom Pérignon Rosé is sourced from carefully selected vineyards in Champagne, where chalk-rich soils contribute brightness, lift, and mineral definition. The blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay is assembled with exceptional attention to balance, and production follows a meticulous traditional method with extended cellar aging to build complexity and depth.
Food & Serving
Ideal with refined dishes such as lobster, langoustines, duck breast, salmon tartare, or mushroom-based cuisine, as well as aged Parmesan and lightly spiced Asian dishes. Serve well chilled at 8–10°C, and decanting is generally not recommended for Champagne, though a brief opening ahead of serving can help it unfold in the glass.
Producer
Dom Pérignon is the prestige cuvée of Moët & Chandon, one of the most renowned names in Champagne and part of the region’s grand heritage. Named after the legendary Benedictine monk often associated with the early development of Champagne, the label has become synonymous with luxury, craftsmanship, and exceptional vintage-only releases.
